We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in 2015 and saw many familiar faces. Once again we had one of our favorite families take over the entire Amster Cottage as they have done for 18 years in a row.
The weather was beautiful, fresh and sunny, perfect hiking or shopping weather. Dinner was a great success with the Jackson Village raised turkeys from the Davis Farm being a huge hit. Of the 268 dinners we served, 166 of them were turkey. The home made apple, pumpkin and pecan pie were also very popular and our gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options were liked by all.
For 2016 we will have our especially printed menus with a painting painted by local landscape artist Erik Koeppel will be a nice keepsake for our guests. Erik will be on property to sign the keepsake menus and the painting will be for sale in our gallery. Chef Brian Gazda is planning to create an exceptional menu with local produce being the focus of the menu. Click here to see the 2015 menu.
