Main Inn

The main inn of The Wentworth complex was completed in 1883 and was said to be a reproduction of an “English manorial hall of Queen Anne’s day.” Its luxurious appointments included running steam water, steam heat, telephone and telegraph service, electric bells, open fireplaces in all public rooms, well engineered sanitation, a magnificent dining hall and thirty sleeping rooms painted.

Today the main inn is where you will check in, entering the beautifully renovated lobby with cherry hardwood floors, oriental rugs, real wood burning fireplace and comfortable furnishings. Off the lobby is our award winning restaurant which has been recognized for its farm to restaurant fare. A nice casual lounge completes the first floor of the main inn with our famous cocktails.

Up one of two flights of stairs are our standard and superior accommodations, each with either one queen, two double beds or a queen with a pull out sleep sofa bed all with private bath. Recently upgraded with new carpets and furniture the main inn rooms have a fresh new look and amenities include TV, Keurig Coffee Maker, Mini Fridge, Iron, Ironing Board, Hairdryer, Wi Fi and AC. The superior category is ideal for families with the additional bedding and both categories are popular with our clientele who prefer the convenience of staying in the main portion of the hotel and the affordability of these guest rooms.
