Jackson Ski Touring Foundation – We’re not the only ones with the fever. Our whole town of Jackson, New Hampshire has dedicated itself to promoting and enjoying cross-country skiing as a way of life in the winter months. Whether you’re just starting out, or racing professional circuits, you’ll find the perfect experience right here in Jackson. The Jackson Ski Touring Foundation is a nonprofit organization that offers lessons, tours, rentals, and kids’ activities on more than 100 miles of beautiful trails.

Attitash Mountain Resort and Bear Peak– Located just six miles from the Wentworth Inn, Attitash has been challenging skiers and snowboarders for 50 years. Attitash is a great mountain for intermediate skiers, with 11 lifts servicing 23 miles of trails. Special deals are available every weekday, and in 2014-2015, you can save even more when Attitash celebrates its 50th anniversary.

Cranmore Mountain Resort – Cranmore is known as one of the most family-friendly resorts in the area. 57 trails are serviced by 9 lifts, with five tricked-out terrain parks for ultimate freestyle action. Kids’ programs are offered daily and beginning adults can attend the Snowsport School for a one-on-one or group lesson.

Black Mountain Resort – Located right in Jackson, Black Mountain specializes in affordable skiing for families and adventure lovers of all ages. Convenient to the Wentworth Inn, and family-owned, this small, sunny mountain is one of Jackson’s best-kept secrets.

Bretton Woods – This award-winning resort is a must-ski for both downhill and Nordic skiers. Located 27 miles from the Wentworth Inn on the side of New England’s tallest mountain, Bretton Woods receives more than 200 inches of snow per year, and maintains 97 downhill trails and 59 miles of groomed Nordic tracks.
