We offer a variety of venues to make your wedding reception a night that you’ll remember forever. Our romantic setting in the heart of New Hampshire’s scenic White Mountains is perfect for an intimate family wedding or a grand destination affair.
Our elegant tent weddings are held May through the 1st week of November and can accommodate up to 215 guests. Our tent is a permanent structure during the summer months with a raised platform floor and outdoor carpet, dance floor, bandstand, tables, chiavari chairs and all linens, glassware and silverware.
After your ceremony your guests will gather in our lounge, porch, outdoor porch and elegant lobby for a cocktail reception with a full bar and stationary and passed hors d’oeuvres. The ringing of the dinner bell will announce time for seating, and guests will be escorted to their assigned table by our professional staff. Following dinner, dancing will commence on the dance floor under the tent.
The Wentworth can accommodate wedding receptions of up to 80 in our South Dining Room with dancing on our porch area – weddings of this size can be held between November and April. For weddings over 80, the entire main inn of The Wentworth is available and can be done only at certain times of the year as this entails closing our entire dining room to outside guests with dancing held in our lobby.
After your ceremony your guests will gather in our lounge, porch and elegant lobby for a cocktail reception with a full bar and stationary and passed hors d’oeuvres. The ringing of the dinner bell will announce time for a prosecco toast with the bridal party being announced down the grand staircase.
Following the toast you may choose to have the ceremonial cutting of your wedding cake or choose to be seated immediately for dinner. For larger indoor weddings, which will take over the entire inn, you’ll enjoy the space of all of our three dining rooms. All three dining rooms are connected and open to each other by French doors. Very often we encourage the bride and groom to have first course in the front dining room, second course in the middle dining room and third course in the back (or north) dining room. This creates a wonderful atmosphere and an opportunity for the bride and the groom to visit with many of their guests.
