Annual Thanksgiving Dinner in Jackson, NH
One of our fondest traditions at the Wentworth Inn is our annual Thanksgiving dinner: an opportunity to provide our guests with a delicious and heartwarming holiday meal right here at our historic hotel, nestled in the charming White Mountain hamlet of Jackson Village.
It’s also a chance to see some familiar faces: Some of our Turkey Day guests come back year after year for the occasion. Whether that describes you, or you’re looking for a new and different way to mark that fourth Thursday in November, we invite you to come celebrate with us at the Wentworth!
The Wentworth Inn Thanksgiving Package
And our invitation takes the form of a pretty irresistible deal, thanks to the special package we offer for the holiday. A two-night stay for two includes:
- A traditional Thanksgiving Dinner for both of you (see below);
- A four-course dinner off our regular menu for two the other evening; and
- Full country breakfasts for two each morning of your Wentworth Inn getaway!
Our Thanksgiving Dinner
Given the talents of our in-house gourmet chef Brian Gazda and his team, any meal at the Wentworth Inn is one to write home about. But we always get especially excited to see what Chef Gazda dreams up for our Thanksgiving feast, and needless to say after eyeballing this year’s menu we’re counting the days!
You can check out the complete menu right here, but let’s just say it comes chock-full of seasonal deliciousness—including lots of wonderful autumn vegetables. The Wentworth Inn kitchen abides by a fresh, local, seasonal, farm-to-fork philosophy, and that’s well on display for the holiday dinner.
Among the appetizer choices are forest mushrooms (gathered by our tried-and-true “Mushroom Man,” Bill) prepared with caramelized onion and Vol-au-Vent. Savor a second course of a Fall Harvest Salad tossed with local apples or a soul-satisfying Cider Butternut Squash Bisque. The main courses hit all the right notes, not least the Cider Brined Roast Turkey sourced from Jackson’s very own Davis Farm. If turkey’s not your thing, though, Chef Gazda has equally delectable entrees to tempt you with—from prime rib to salmon to sweet onion and ricotta tortello.
And we can’t not mention the fall-friendly desserts, which (believe us) will be very difficult to choose: from the Apple Galette to the Maple Sweet Potato Pecan Pie to the House Pumpkin Ice Cream.
Don’t forget: As always, Chef Gazda has fantastic options for gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian diners!
A Keepsake of Your Wentworth Holiday
Our Thanksgiving menus this year come graced by a lovely painting by local landscape artist Erik Koeppel, who’ll be on hand to sign his work.
